The hundreds
- 500: five hundred
- 600: six hundred

The important rules
- The word "hundred" takes a s only when it is alone and multiplied.
- Examples: five hundred, but five one hundred and one (without s).
- “Mille” is invariable: we always write thousand, without s.
- Example: two thousand (and not “two thousand”).

- 612: six hundred and twelve
- 789: seven hundred and eighty-nine
- 845: eight hundred and forty-five
- 999: nine hundred and ninety-nine
