Days of the week

Here are the 7 days of the week, in order:

  • Monday
  • Tuesday
  • Wednesday
  • THURSDAY
  • Friday
  • SATURDAY
  • Sunday

They are always written in lowercase in French, except at the beginning of a sentence.

Use in sentences

  • Today is Tuesday.
  • Tomorrow will be Wednesday.
  • Yesterday was Monday.
  • I work Monday to Friday.
  • I rest on Saturday and Sunday.

Ask a question with days

Here are some sample questions:

  • What day is it?
  • What day do you work?
  • Is it open on Sundays?

And to answer:

  • It's Thursday.
  • I work Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
